  34. Probably your copy of Kermit does not think /var/log is the UUCP lockfile
  35. directory.  Which version of Kermit is it?  Type:

  37.   show version
  38.  
  39. to see what version it is, and:
  40.  
  41.   show comm
  42.  
  43. to see what it thinks the lockfile directory is.
